Rod (RodS) and Jo (his lovely wife) celebrated 43 years of marriage today. And they still like each other! Talk about being on a roll. :)

Big hugs and much love to you both! Sorry to be getting this in under the wire ... we were gone all day. I had this all ready, but we were out past curfew and just now got in. It's still the 5th here, but I know it's already tomorrow everywhere else! :D

OMG! What a BEAUTIFUL iris! Wow - you really got a fantastic shot of this beauty - We're both just blown away! Thank you sooo much, Tara! You really made our day! I showed this to Jo - she loved it, and got the biggest giggle out of the "they still like each other" part! LOL Don't feel bad - we just got home from our anniversary dinner a day after the fact... Now that we're full of chicken Alfredo and Parmesan crusted tilapia, we probably won't be out after curfew - at least not tonight (hehehe). Thanks again, dear Tara! Hope you and Bill are having a great weekend!

Very pretty!
Well you made a hit with Rod and Jo. It's a beautiful flower shot, bursting in our eyes, and really well seen against that bokeh'd deep reddish brown. The colors, by themselves, aren't necessarily harmonious or even good contrasts, but there's something about the background hue that sets off the iris beautifully. And you got it as a full fleur-de-lis, like a crest; and tilting but coming back to 'upright', at top. A beautiful bold shot, and terrific for people you two obviously love, and who obviously love each other. And very sweet words too---someone once said to me, to love each other for many years is a blessing; but to like each other as well---that's heaven added on top of it all. Great dedi for dear friends!
What a classic flower - just right in my opinion for a celebration like this one - may there be many anniversaries to follow, (the 50th is traditionally a Violet) my best wishes to them both ... Gorgeous colour - it just leaped for joy into my laptop ... ;)) BB
