Bold and striking! I had a very silly male lodger who painted his room that colour which was fine by me. Except that he got it all over the carpet, and put away all MY brushes and rollers unwashed.

Nothing like the French Quarter to come up with great contrasts.

Oh.....this pic pleases me in many ways. The wonderful color contrast is an absolute eye catcher and the simple dekor. And I have a weakness for dilapidations details. Something that is against the norm. Wonderfully see and photographed.

An excellent picture.

WOW you always see the most interesting and special items, dear friend. This is over the top such great looking, with its figures, colors, reflections, and contrast.

Sometimes just a color will make a composition, and here it's done by that bold crimson-ish red and the deep slate blue. (Of the shutter.) You counter those, in minimal fashion, with the whites of the door and its moulding, the black of the fence (and shadows), and the sky-blue in the windows (pure to a tee). All clear as a bell. It's a piece with a few bold contrasts, and each element is crystalline and very present; and the shapes are strong and sharp. The totality is a big strong confection, full of contrast and life and quite powerful---another perfected piece from you. And with just a few pieces off-kilter---but that's the whole piece: A few pieces off kilter, with lots of expression in that. You also framed the bottom too---with the fence and that beam beneath it: A natural border. I'll come back for more, but this is a little masterpiece; a piece of photographic sculpture.
