Looks like calm seas. Cheer up Alan. It could be worse. My parents had a close friend who joined the navy during WWII only to find that he was subject to sea sickness. For four years he wondered whether the rocking of the boat or the Japanese would kill him first.
The shot look level enough Alan and I think that's Jersey on the horizon !
I grew up next to the ocean, on the beach, my first memory is running down Johnny Mercer pier chasing my sister with a blow fish. I love the sea, but every time I've ever got on a boat/ship I've gotten sick.
Lovely pic. not so good for sea sickness though
Beautiful scene captured! :-)
Super sense of balance; love the clouds.
What a shame! On my only visit I contracted a virus which eventually led to me getting MS. Not that serious though, I am still above ground. A wonderful photo, BTW!
beautiful photo
Fantastic view and colours. The sky looks impressive. Excellent shot!
Wonderful !
A beautiful shot - the blues are wonderful & the scene has such an atmosphere of elegant calm. Sorry to hear about the sea sickness - I've had a few bouts of it myself & I know how miserable it can make you feel...
Superb capture my friend. My second time on a boat was recently in February 2014 when I accompanied my wife on a 4 day boat trip from Durban to the Portuguese islands. Me and my wife both took tablets over the four day trip to avoid us getting sea sick. My wife felt odd on the Sunday when our boat trip was nearing its end. Sorry to hear you experienced sea sickness. God bless.
Lovely sea color.
Not fun...the sea sickness not the trip!
very good focus for a woozy photographer!! the seascape is beautiful as well as Jersey
that is gorgeous...I love lighthouses...and sky is so blue and the clouds so puffy...what an excellent seascape...sorry to hear about the sea sickness. I never had that...I was on a cruise during a hurricane and it was making everyone sick and I was having the time of my life. I've always loved to rock and I also love the wind blowing on me...but I think antihistamenes are good for it. Execellent imagery...hdr. I should have done the one I posted today hdr but I was too lazy to set up tripod today....have a great weekend... chills and thrills
Nice way point. Like the light.
I like composition!
what a soulful capture with the special and beautiful cloud formation! ;o)
I get sea sick too mate. Great shot.
Very symbolic picture !
I've never been seasick (yet), but I feel for you. Still, you got this stunning shot for your pains...beautifully calm seas here, with a lighthouse and beachwall to anchor them. Lovely capture!
A fantastic photo and excellent zoom - sorry about the stomach problems!
