Description
The adult elephants in the San Diego Safari Park were rescued from Swaziland in 2003, where they were scheduled to be killed due to overpopulation in that area. Since then, several babies have been born in the Park.
Thanks for stopping by :)

cool capture
Very well done shot! You have captureg the right pose and expression and the background of the same color of animal give to this picture a bit of elegance!
Superb capture Melinda. God bless.
Excellent photo.
You got some great shots Melinda, thank for sharing your trip with us through your lens.
This big bruiser adopts a very demure pose in this neat zoo shot, Melinda. Pachyderms are cool, and this one will remember you for eternity. And, somewhat surprised that there was an overpopulation problem with the beasts. I thought they were on the endangered list due to tusk poaching.
You know this reminds me a bit of the Robert de Niro expression, " you talkin' to me ?" - (from the 1976 movie: 'Taxi Driver' ) ... LOL Fine capture Melinda, BB
LOL... it fits :)
Terrific angle! You got some great shots there.
Great image.
A great photo of this one and it looks like a wonderful open enclosure!
