Description
I find my big camera. It was under the sheets of a bed I do not use and the sheets are mess up for now. Well wash them today lol
I could not go to the place I normal go to take photos but also i noted a shine on the painting so I may have to put a matte finish on it first to get all the glare off of the painting. I did my best but there is some on the right.
This is the lee boys band. you can go to youtube and search for them. They more of a jazz band. Not sure what style jazz but I like them. They will play gospel jazz at places also there is some of that on youtube they play.

The Lee Boys play a mix of jazz, blues, soul, gospel, some driving pop, and even touches of Latin (salsa, etc). Your painting really opens up as we look at it a little while. YOu have such wonderful accents, Jock, those wonderful full-blown whites---on the left-most guitars, the circle around "Louisiana," the hat and the pants of the drummer, etc: Such powerful highlights in all that shadow. And a wonderful light on the right, coming from off the frame. You've painted the back wall and floor with rushing, beautiful crimsons and reds---like rushing waters accompanying the musicians. And such a powerful yellow for the front keyboard player! It hits us in the eye like the music hits our ears. The rest is that deep darkness...This is a terrific performance painting, very true to life, and filled with your electric sensibilities. And your long dimensions---stretching the musicians across all that darkness---just emphasizes how great music really draws us together, across space. Terrific, another triumph of art from you, and another masterful portrait of musicians.
