Description
Scotland, Argyll, Inveraray
It was a hazy day and it gives a special mood away. I think it fits to the iron sailing ship Arctic Penguin, 3-masted Schooner, moored at the pier and is now used as Maritime Heritage Museum with a coffee shop.
Builder:
1910, Dublin Drydock Company Ltd, Dublin - cost £7,230
History:
1910 - 1966, Lightship - name LV Penguin
1966 - 1982, Training Ship - renamed Hallowe'en
(Sold in 1966 to T.E. McSweeney and converted into a Youth Adventure Sea Training Vessel.)
1982 - 1988, Cruise Boat - renamed Artic Penguin
(Converted to a schooner and sold to Mr D. Norris, 1982.)
1995 - , Maritime Museum at Inveraray Pier

Schönes Foto, da möchte man gleich auf Reisen gehen. Das Schiff gefällt mir, es hat irgendwie Charakter und das Wetter paßt auch perfekt.
Beautiful ship and photo.
Very nice capture Rita. Maybe a conversion to black and white would look very nice for such historic shots.
