Description
We spent a wonderful, fun Wednesday evening with two great friends we met right here on Rendo - Bill and Tara (bmac62 and auntietk). We had an awesome dinner at Islamadora Fish Market inside the Bass Pro Shop (Thanks again, you two!), then we went back to the Lair for a great visit, a few sneak-peeks at what's coming up in the T.N.A. story, and a short Phantom demo flight in the backyard (I'd have gone higher, but it was pretty breezy, and I have lots of propeller-eating trees out there!) LOL I'll have a video soon..
I took this shot of Bill and Tara with my Ipod since I forgot (duh) to bring the 6D with me.... :-P It actually does a surprisingly good job.
I'm working feverishly on page 24 - these last few panels have been some of the most complex I've done in a while in terms of number of figures, props and lighting, so it's taking me a bit longer (in between all the other stuff).
Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend, and enjoying the (hopefully) warmer spring weather.

happy you hooked up with some rendo friends, Rod. great looking couple. we have a big bass pro shops here also. bolling allys, places to eat and many things i can't recall. some of the best fish i've eaten in years was at culvers, the fish was walleye and is only seasonal but used to eat as a kid in north dakota. they may be a fast food place but the quality of that item is up there with fine restaurants. my dear late grandfather and grandmother would have a ball there. speaking of weekend went and bought 2 external dvd drives cause my others went out months ago. 5 hrs later rendering a poser image, my monitor all of a sudden started getting color bars all over. though i might have lost my computer drive again, but the power supply was hot!

Yes. That pic came out really GOOD for such a tiny lens. Seems cameras have come a LONG way since we were kids eh Rod? Even my IPad 2 takes better pictures than the Kodak 110 I had as a kid, LOL. Fun meeting up with people you meet online eh? We did that a few years ago too. Looking forward to the next TNA. Sounds like it's going to be a good one.

Thank you, dear one! We had a wonderful time visiting with you and Jo. It's one of the delights of our travel plans to see you two, and it seems to just get better all the time! :) We've been a bit on the busy side since we saw you, but I'll get caught up here, possibly today. We're hanging out at Bill's daughter's place in Olathe, weathering the storm in a real house rather than in the motorhome. (So don't worry ... we've got a good tornado room here!) I'm pretty sure I've got a picture of a guy with a Phantom somewhere around here! LOL! Thanks again for a great time, my friend. We had a blast!
