Description
This was taken in Anchorage, Alaska close to 11pm on 4-14-14. The lunar eclipse turning into what is known as the Blood Moon. In the sky is also a planet to the right; I believe it is Venus, but have not confirmed it yet. Also, to the upper left of the moon is a lil tiny dot which I believe may be Mars.
My camera battery died shortly after getting this shot and few more like it.

that is a pretty awesome shot. I sat in my backyard, here in Southern California, and watched this amazing event. It was one of the coolest things I have seen.
Thank you. I love taking photos. There will be another Blood Moon in October of this year. Then again in April and Oct. of next year too.
