Description
This photo could be categorized as historical and architectural.
The Russian Bishop's house was completed in 1842, and was the center for the Russian Orthodox Church. It is also one of the few surviving examples of Russian colonial architecture in North America. In 1973 the building was rotting and in danger of collapsing. The National Park Service obtained the property and took 16 years to restore it. It is now open to the public.
(I did not go inside...not enough time.)
I had a little fun in the Gimp, with post work. I used layers, and a couple of filters. I liked the outcome.
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Melinda, this is outstanding!!! Like a textured HDR. What a great shot anyway, and a nice narrative. A fave.
