There would be stuff lying about....but useless by todays measures although you could see how things might have been back then....or at least imagine it. And there'd always be a course through the annoying half-dead scrub that lead onto something else further on just over the hill that seemed interesting to adventure into.....somewhere quiet and forgotten.
