Description
Blue was my Della's brother, he was a beautiful blue merle. I think it is very hard to find a good blue merle border collie. The best merles I have seen are in Australian Shepherds. Della was blue merle down one side & tri-colour down the other, she carried the blue gene. Also pictured is Della's daughter Hannah.
Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

Barbara, he really was a handsome fellow. I really enjoy going with you on these walks down memory lane.
Beautiful dogs!
Little beauties :)
all three are wonderful and beautiful thanks for sharing your memories with us
Blue merle is a very striking color! Love seeing these dogs!
A strangely 1950's sort of colour to this, which I rather like! Another great memory.
Such fond memories of three wonderful dogs... our photographs make our loved human's and pets immortal... long beyond our own lives.
Lovely to see thes old photos of your various dogs Barbara, and to hear all about each one as each one has a unique personality :-)
Oh great we are down memory lane again, he was a beautiful dog indeed, in fact all your dogs are very special for sure. hugs and love xxxxxx
cool
I just love that expression
A great group photo Barbara - how did you get them to pose so nicely!
Personally, I think ACDs (Australian Cattle Dogs) have the best, most beautiful merles, both blue and red. Your three are beauties .. it's wonderful to see the pictures of all the loved fur-kids!
