Description
CLOCKER
Do you look at old photos to remember who you were back then … pause at mirrors to see who you are now … and even stare at stars to imagine where you might be tomorrow?
SYMBOLEE does. She’s doarte’s ODDARTORIA’S KEEPER OF TIME … our collector of calendars to learn how ancient Mayans and Incas measured years … how Romans used sundials to set their daylight hours … and as a scholar she studied both the Bible and Koran to learn how Hebrews and Muslims determined all their Holy Holidays and Christians set their Christmas celebrations.
And yes … she even keeps track of our computer conversations and comments to understand why so many strangers think of each other as … FRIENDS.

this turned out so nicely...especially do like how her hair looks...did you know that the Ancient Egyptians created the first 12 hour clock? it was used by the priesthood primarily at night to keep track of the timing of various duties/rites...it was a water clock called the clepsydra...those ancients were such crafty ones...don't forget to spring forward this weekend...happy Fat Tuesday :)
She is beautiful in a sophisticated way, love her hair accessories, most excellent work dear Wayne************
Brilliant, and an interesting little read..... especially the last bit about computer conversations... very pertinent..you are so right.. I will never meet many people I converse with here, but we still share a sense of commanality and fun, which is what 'friendship' in the virtual world I guess!!
Beautiful!
Stunning!
It is mesmerizing--both simple and very complex, and very beautiful!
Striking lady! I think she should be monitoring the NSA and its foreign relatives Great work
off the charts mastepiece, Wayne.. dig them eyes..
That is just stunning. Had to fave it because I'm having a hard time taking my eyes off it. :)
Awesome image! The lady is beautiful, and she looks very wise. The background is cool also! I guess being a "time keeper", and keeping track of time can be a very important job. I sometimes tend to lose track of time, and forget what day it is....."lol"......I guess I could use a "time keeper" in my life!! Great job!!
Great View!!!

Fantastic work !
very powerful lady I would say! lovely portrait!
Very impressive fantasy character, great portrait!
Beautiful. I particularly like the black collar which gives a sense of her having a disembodied head... the dispassionate timekeeper.
This is beautiful...great work
This character is amazing, very beautiful and innovative. Reminds me a bit of Jan Van Eyck.
Wayne, your art is so detailed and always so well done. Fantastic work! hugsssssss
