Description
Hi everybody, This image was created using Vue and Photoshop. It portrays a time of dirt, grime and industry. The kind of place I grew up in. Although there was always woods, lakes and streams available for adventure too. Industrial places often seemed as desolate as the rural ones in those days. People had jobs and were inside working. The streets were much quieter during the day than they are now. Industry truly happened rather than just be talked about in the "How we can save it by closing it" sort of way. I did this picture using VUE.

Very nice and detailed scene !
Digging the tones and hues, you really nailed that grungy feel ! Well done & ~Cheers~
Excellent.
Oh wow superb it's awesome :) Cathy xoxoxo
A scene reminiscent of the industrial era of the nineteenth century, but the silhouette of the locomotive gives a touch of the modern era. Smoke and absence of characters gives an impression of movement.
Oh, wow! What a amazing image! Great atmosphere! Really wonderful done!
Absolutly GREAT !!! Drama scene dramatic successful ambiance ! I like realy !
Great image. I like the whole color scheme with rust and smoke and grass and leaves. (and sky)
A fantastic creation of this old industrial style train. A great look back into the industrial revolution! Don't forget that there are a dozen galleries over on your web site!

Extremely superb quality, brilliant gloomy :-) atmosphere, bravo!
Phenomenal work! I wonder why they want to get rid of coal fired machinery?
Awesome looking scene!... it almost says welcome to the industrial age!.. awesome work!!....
My favourite band at present is a British group called Big Big Train, whose songs celebrate the English countryside and debate the effects of industrialisation, but also the loss of life-giving industries. This image has the same power as their excellent music...
Nice image erland

This really is a fantastic scene, with perfect mood, as colours, Peter. I love all the details which are so very fine shown here. Bravo.
Our town also was a heavy industry town with many railways in and out, lots of smoke and grime, and that same feel of busyness inside ans abandonment outside.. Brings back a lot of childhood memories. beautifully created Peter. Love the evening lighting and the almost photographic feel.
An antiquated looking locomotive, never seen such a type before - I even googled, to find one similar - but it's more like an artistic license impression, I presume ? never-the-less a fine job, BB
It's a Pannier Tank Engine. Once very common on The Great Western and also British Railways.
