Description
The EH was released in August 1963 replacing the Holden EJ series and was the first Holden to incorporate the new "Red" motor, with 7 main bearings instead of 4 for the "Grey" motor, and a larger capacity of 149ci (2400cc) or 179ci (2900cc). These motors were attached to three-speed manual or "Hydramatic" three-speed automatic transmissions with a column gear shifter; the three-speed manual (column shift) gear box had no synchromesh on first gear, requiring double de-clutching. My mum and dad had one when I was a kid.

and if you didn't do it right, first gear kinda disappeared in a cloud of metal shavings..... Great capture
Great shot of this old classic Andrew!
As your mum and dad had to do double de-clutching you must have had a brother or sister !! Lol. Nice shot Andrew.
Nah I am an only child mate! We had the automatic model! lol
looks to b a snug bug so small cute and great shot of it Andrew.
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
Very nice except the steering wheel is on the wrong side! Stan
I had to do plenty of double de-clutching when leaning to drive trucks lol. I just can't get enough of these mate, it's a little bit like our Vauxhall Victor FB except you had better engines. Stan you must be looking at it in a mirror as the steering wheel is just where it should be :)
I don't think I've ever heard of these, but it looks a lot like a car that my second boyfriend had when I was in high school. Excellent shot!
It looks in cherry condition Andrew. Nice information too!
As they all are,. at this obviously top show, in great condition.. Well taken shot mate! Rob
