Print Shop update:
I was in the Print Shop, preparing to make a print run on the Press when the drums sounded and I rushed to the door to look out. I found the Union Army Marching through the Village just as easy as could be. They were looking tall in their uniforms and had an air of confidence about them that would soon be shaken.
Johnny Reb was not about to let a Yank come marching through their town and had a bit of a surprise waiting for them. The rebel canons roared with fire and smoke, the ground shook with thunder and the Boys in Blue ranks were broken.
It was only a matter of a chasing the last of them Union Boy's out of town before all was calm again. But in the end, the General declared the battle over and everyone patted each other on the back for a job well done.
Seems to me these Union Boys are the best kind of Yank; you can shoot them over and over again.

Great pictures and story thanks for sharing
Wonderful set of photos. Bet it was noisy for a while.
I'm offended by your commentary, the War of 1861 been over for some time. My relative fought with the 5th regiment of the New Hampshire Volunteers. He was killed at Fredericksburg by southern forces, he left a wife and two young sons. Yet you don't see me writing, seems to me these Confederate Boys are the best kind of Reb; you can shoot them over and over again. Good people on both sides were killed and maimed. Insensitive remarks such as these infuriate me.
The re-enactment was a lot of fun for both sides. The commentary continues along in the vein of the re-enactment. There is nothing whatsoever in my commentary that can be remotely considered offensive. You are stretching hard to twist the context of the commentary to something offensive. You're a great guy and maybe you just had a bad day, lighten up.
lol sorry about the comment above. anyway these people is keeping all this stuff in the minds of people so it will not happen again. I know you mean no hurt. It happen in the past and nothing can be done about it. just do not believe in lies like slaves was the reason the war was fought. no it was to keep the union together. They had northern states that still had slaves Maryland, Delaware, Ky, Missouri. and DC also. Lincoln say plain as day in his speech as the states started to divide. It was to keep the union together . Southern writers say slave was on the way out as they saw it was bad also. They wanted state rights and saw the Fed government was taking they rights away. But people like to believe a lie more that the true. These shots is very good.
Well, this is great shot, excellent images, and I think both sides suffer with the civil war, they are called fratricide.
Great shots and commentary of this re-enactment!
A great set of pics and I have learned so much more by reading the above comments.
what a wonderful set of pictures
Brilliant work
a good set of photos!
Really great shots!
Wonderful, fabulous shots!!
A cool idea! Green soldiers! LOL! A most excellent set of photos and wonderful delivery! Very well done! Did the battle make the front page?
Nice set of photos, looks like a good re-enactment.
Seems to me that this is the best kind of war .. a reenactment .. both sides can shoot each other over and over again, and no one dies. It seems that some northerners and southerners still hold on to the old hatreds .. the old divisions. I think we all had people that died in various wars .. I could probably trace my heritage back to when Christians "invaded" my country of origin, and killed my people in the name of ... well i'll just leave it there. what i'm saying is that many people died needlessly in the name of Christ, The Union, the Confederacy, both sides of any war you can think of. It's history, learn from it, don't wallow in it. Your pics are awesome, I especially like the little drummer boy!
