Description
You are probably all familiar with those sad trees in Shopping Centre carparks which are dotted in rows between the line of cars, and get reversed into repeatedly.
This is one such which I parked near. The wind was whipping across and rocking the trunk but the lichens looked so lovely.
It is not a sharp picture but the overall design and colour is what it's about!

Beautiful camera angle and great sharpness. Nicely done
Treemendous! What a rich tapestry of form and hue, superb find!
Great POV and very beautiful colours. A fantastic shot!
What a fantastic mix of different lichens! I can imagine how excited you were to look close and find all this. Wonderful shot!
A lovely picture and some wonderful lichens.
Life looks like it's abundant & flourishing on this tree - well seen & captured & I don't see any problems with the sharpness...
So Lovely
That has been well & truly taken over :o)
impressive collection of life there
lichen art in unexpected places
wowowowow !!! this is so wonderful !
well captured lychens
OHHHH!!! One of my favorite shots. You did a wonderful job, Andrea.
Great details and textures
In my general neck of the woods, we usually don't have trees in our parking lots, they are all flat, plain and Spartan, one exception being teenage palms in the huge Cerritos Shopping Mall parking lot. That said, I really like the textures, not only of the dominant lichen in your pic, but others up and down the length of the tree trunk. And the foto looks nice and sharp to me.
That's a colorful sweater the tree is wearing. It is too dry for lichens here so I have become quite a fan of the little guys you share with us.
Excellent find and capture... not sharp?... I reckon that is pretty sharp to me and given the conditions not ideal for photography I think it's up to the kind of high standards you set. Well done.
Gorgeous capture Andrea and I 'think' that I can find at least four different varieties !
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
although sad -yes! n says something about the tree's 'health'-, sounds better than the majority of parking lots here! (and 'they' are removing lots of green to reduce costs. Middelburg announched they would remove all roses, unless people from the neighbourhood were willing to do the maintenance. 'crisis'?? tsss) wonderful shot!! love the POV & DOF!! n the light!
Great captured, Andrea! You really know how find and portray the smaller creatures so eminent!! Love this!! :o)
