Definitely rings nostalgia to me! I really like the look and feel to these old doors, and the stone walls. It also creates quite a bit of suspense with the perspective you've captured it with, as though there is something mysterius lurking and hiding behind that big old door! Well executed, my Friend!

Here my curiosity is aroused and my eye is automatically drawn to this play of light. A professional recording!!!!!

Here I thought we had a bunch of tenderfeet commenting but Mike came through and identified the dinner triangle. Wonderful textures and light. And a great atmosphere as well. There is an anticipation that the hands will be coming in for dinner at any moment.

Love the lighting and textures

Great shot Tara. Could be a barn on the outskirts of Berlin- like in Luebars for instance!

Arid dried out spaces just bring out such beauty in you. Not because you're arid and dried out (god forbid!) but because they seem to speak to some inner peace in you. (That's very meditational.) You get these very complex, rich compositions which are nonetheless dry, arid, partly decayed, and just beautiful. Poetry with spareness, richness with spareness...You've spoken of softness in your images; but you have many styles where you capture very sharp detail...but you do it with poetry. This is a poem. Also, it's another door shot---I remember your love for doors all the way back in chicago---with one big imposing door in front, and one cut-off one in back. (Cut off by your crop, which is very effective. This whole piece speaks of excerpts.) And the big door is in deep shadow, with wonderful scars in it. While another one---in the background---is cut off. Then? All that light in the middle of it all. It's layered, quiet, inner, and very peaceful. And that metal "stand" up front? At first I thought it was a microphone---you can see my background---and it harmonizes perfectly with the door. Just beautiful, tara. Wonderful work.
