Description
An alligator resting, at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, a 221 square mile swamp, west of Delray Beach, Florida. S/he was about 8 feet (2.43 meters) long. An alligator is a crocodilian and first appeared on earth during the Oligocene epoch about 37 million years ago. The largest ever recorded was found in Louisiana, US and measured 19.2 feet (5.84 meters). This is the area where we fish and this spot is located on the L-40 canal. Some info from Wikipedia.
