Description
This is the second image of the early morning lion sighting that I have described in my previous upload. The male next to the camp perimeter fence walked towards the water where he was met by another male which we assume is the closest one answering the roar since 4am. It was amazing seeing these two beasts having their early morning drink together. The rising sun was right behind them which is far from ideal for photography but I kind of like the backlit beauties! I have two more photos that I will share next!
Thank you for visiting and for your kind comments and favs on my last uploads "Rising" and "Hamba Kahle Tata Madiba."

Wonderful back lighting and a super shot Carin.
agree
Such a beautiful photo! The ebot are not reliable at present, only getting about half of them I think.
Carin, I think that back lit sun really adds to the image it makes them glow ! beautiful shot and I envy you being able to see these in the wild :)
What a cracking shot Carin. I like the way the other lion is keeping a watchful eye.
mmmh, wonderful! - kalahari lions... picture made at kalaghadi?
The light here, is utterly exquisite!!! Brilliant capture, and thank you for the peek into this moment. It reminds us, that WE are the intruders, doesn't it?
I beg to differ, the backlight really enhances this early morning image - SUPERB Carin! BB
This is simply gorgeous---absolutely stunning!!!
Yes I think the back lighting was perfect.
It is very special and the backlighting makes the shot! Well done!
I am stunned. I do not receive e-mail notifications of all my favorite artists. How do i know. I am currently browsing through the whats new. Please Renderosity staff look into this matter and fix it. Amazing capture Carin. God bless.
This is really fine work. Two lions in a flat countryside, beautiful light.
Wow - an amazing shot. I agree with the consensus that the glow from the backlighting is spectacular...

Outstanding capture! Love the lighting as well. Didn't check things out at 4:00 am????
Oh we did! The whole camp rushed to the waterhole as we all thought he was there. At that stage he wasn't yet. The camp gates only open at 5:30!
