Description
This is a pic of my Dad a year before I was born. It was taken in August 1940 and is a pic of him in his Home Guard uniform (Dads Army). He was 39 years old at this time and I post it in remembrance of all who fought in the wars.
He died in 1978 aged 77 years.

Great memories. That rifle looks like the ones issued to us in the Army Cadet Corps in the '50s: 1914 model! (But they worked ...)
