Description
This is the a re-work including the suggestions made. I had forgotten to mention some credits here. They include: Dead tree model by dandelO, Hero rocks clip file by FrankB, Dry shrub model by Walli; Dry grasses from a friend; and, the three Lithops models by Dune. Next image coming up will be a close up of the Lithops.
Interesting note: The final render of this image was 7.57 hours. When I looked at my computer clock, it read 7.57 PM. What are the odds of this ever happening again?

Wow, fine work.
Excellent scene!
I'd say maybe a million to one? Excellent work, Bob. I like everything about it, including the Lithops. :-) Is this Terragen 3 ? I don't have it yet.
Yes, this is TG3. You will love the features. Tomorrow, Planetside is having a 'Webinar' from London hosted by 3D Magazine. For me, it starts at 5 am Phoenix time. Hope I'll be up in time to participate. Hopefully I'll learn more about the new features. 'Oshyan Greene'. business Manager of Planetside will be conducting. This will be a chance to meet him and all the other folks that use Terragen.
fantastic composition! perfect pov, but the stones left are looking like rolls g
I like this reworked image. Very nice.
That is creepy, about the times! Fantastic rework. Love the lighting. Corrie
757, well maybe that;s your new number! Did you maybe have 757 objects in it, too? That would be priceless as this piece of Art you have Created here!! Wonderful Composition, Bob!!!
Very nice work Bob.
Fantastic Terragen work so very realistic !
The shot composition is great...the slope across the frame makes this very interesting to the eye. The line from the stones in the lower left to the tree in the upper right criss-crosses the terrain slope perfectly and the lighting reveals all the details with remarkable clarity. Another great piece of TG work Bob!!
Thanks Pete, the next image will be a close-up to the ground so folks can get an idea of their natural size.. I'm looking for a .tgo or .obj that I can put into the scene to show size comparison as the plants are only about one inch and less in diameter.
very realistic Terragen scene!
Excellent details as always.
great!
Great render like the composition
I hope the Webinar was great for you . This is an outstanding scene with excellent eye on details!!!! Unfortunately my English is not good enough to participate such a tutorial.
I understand; but, you and I have been able to communicate very well over the years - and, the webinar is very visual. You certainly would be able to learn from it. Hope you will participate next time.
Marvelous creation... Wonderfully done !
Lovely composition Bob ! Paul
