Description
Ever since I can remember creating digital art my desire was to present art that appeared as if the human hand had physically touched the surface presenting the chance elements that are associated with such events taking place. I believe today we have now reached a point where it is possible to create digital art that is compared to paint and canvas and is validated upon an equal level. No longer the term "Computer Art" is used unless it's intended to be used.. and even the term "Digital Art" could be considered compromising to it's rightful place in galleries and on the walls side by side with canvases and photographic works which is a more mechanical process simply by it's nature not judged so harshly as "Digital Art" has been through it's years of progress.
With this piece it's not so impasto but more dry brushing with fluid paint thinned and absorbing into the canvas.. my desire even when I'm producing figurative work is not photorealism of 3D artists but the raw nature of the elements of a bare canvas, and then brushing or dripping paint to the surface. Now brining the chance elements of fractal art into this with repetition and variations I challenge myself constantly to bridge the gaps between these different methods of art creation to create a kind of synthesis that could be considered the acceptable answer to the phobia some people may have when they look at Digital art knowing it was created on a computer.

Fantastic composition and marvelous creation also !
Wel done!
Great for the viewer, but I still like doing it with real fingers and media.
Gorgeous! Beautiful colors. Corrie
You succeeded very well, by making this looking as real paint-work, Mark. I love the soft way in the transitions to the various colors on it. My favorite way always was to create things with real stuff, but because of my health problems, the computer is the best alternative.
Great color... Nicely done.
