Description
Every time I go through my photos of Alaska, I find another that catches my eye. Sometimes it's the same subject just a bit different composition. (and I am bad at using the delete key!)
With this photo I liked how it looked, but wasn't very pleased with the total composition, so I gave it a little crop and it was a completely different picture.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
~Melinda~

Incredible shot!
Fascinating shot my dear!!Bravissima!V:DDD.Hugsxx Whylma
Très beau panorama sur ce qui va bientôt disparaitre malheureusement: les glaciers.
It's stunning I thought at first it was a road in the foreground and the glacier was encroaching upon it until I realised it was water :)
You'll be amazed how a crop can change am image. Hell I have been known to get two or more images out of one shot purely by cropping. Even at camera level (Especially at close-up or macro) just a turn of the camera by a half inch can completely change a picture. You did a fine job here Melinda, good for you. I might have included more sky and less water or vice versa. But it doesn't hurt to tear up the rule book now and again when you get results like this. Well done you!
Superb capture. God bless.
Great composition in this shot, as you painstakingly braved the treacherous ice, rocks and snow on your hazardous trek to your own Mount Everest, Melinda.
When I look at this glacier it's easy to see how huge boulders were picked up by glaciers and deposited many miles distant from their starting point. Excellent capture! Beautiful composition, textures, and colors. I like the cracks, crevices, and colors of the land in the forefront. They are quite different from each other.
A really nice (and cold) place :)
Gorgeous photo and light. It is amazing how millions of tons of ice can actually flow down hill like that!
