Hello all!
here is my bow uncloaked:
It is a Mathews Mission Craze Compound bow with Fuse accessories such as the Fibre-optic sighting assembly, Wrist strap, balance bar and 4-arrow quiver.
It is set for 50# draw weight (adjustable from 40 to 80#) with a 80% break point.
the draw length is adjustable from 19 inches to 30 inches 48.26 to 76.2 cm) - mine is set at 27 inches. (68.58cm)
its height is 30 inches (76.2cm) which makes it an ideal brush bow and a brace height of 7 inches (from the back of the body to the outer string) for those who are into the tech here is a quick definition:
A bow's BRACE HEIGHT is simply the distance from the string to the pivot point of the bow's grip. You can think of brace height as how close the string will be to your hand (on the hand holding the bow) when the bow is at rest.
it weighs 6 pounds (2.72 kilos)
The action is smooth as you draw down on the target. the only way I lost an arrow was a misfire while target practicing (I was learning how to use the string release device at the time of the loss).
Above the strings are three devices:
from left to right there is the String release (in this case a single caliper); broadhead wrench; and the arm guard.

Ron, I don't know anything about archery but the layout of this shot really caught my eye. You should try hanging that sheet, then suspend or stand all the stuff you have displayed a few feet in front and shoot the entire scene with a shallow depth of field. Nice work.

Mike you have hit a hart string I have loved archery from a boy the longbow is my love at 60 i can still lose an arrow at 500lb at a target. a bit of history of my bow The longbow dominated medieval warfare. Medieval England not only saw the use of longbows in battle but of several types of bows – the short bow, the composite bow and the long bow. In the Hundred Years War, the longbow was used by the English to a devastating effect. The longbow was also effective in naval battles. At the Battle of Sluys in 1340, English archers poured a devastating longbow attack on tightly packed French ships that suffered serious losses. At the land Battle of Poitiers in 1356, the longbow was responsible for the deaths of 2,000 French mounted knights – the elite of the French army. In 1346 at the Battle of Crecy, English archers devastated the French who lost 11 princes, 1,200 knights and 30,000 common soldiers. The English lost just 100 men. In this particular battle, 20,000 English soldiers defeated 60,000 French soldiers. This single battle is taken as proof of how just effective the longbow was as a weapon. and that is wear the to fingered salute came from and I can stile string that bow now

Great weapon, Mike, But I think I couldn't get used to so much technology. I have a bow, a piece of something I do not know yet if it is plastic, fiberglass or something, with a rope, and had some arrows, that I discarded when my kid learned how to open my room's door.

30# recurve was the most I could pull..this is pretty awesome. And much shorter than a recurve. I'm glad I don't have to string it, though ;)
