Description
Captured 10/4/13, early morning, within the normally congenial confines of my condominium complex.
I was fortunate to be passing by while the shadow was in the right position for this shot. Some minutes earlier or later, then forget it.
A ZOOM would really bring this to fruition.
Aloha.

That is beautiful especially the light and the shadow, well spotted and a good shot
Beautiful! I have some of those right off my patio.
Such a sweet my friend, spectacular work, beautiful colors!
Marvelous flower and fantastic capture!
Beautiful colours, and yes, great finding with that shadow :-)
Superb!
Very nice work on this lovely capture, Harry.
The colours on this exotic beauty are wonderful enough, but then to have the shape of the flower so neatly delineated by the shadow is almost too much goodness! Well done, Harry, getting this all in one wonderful capture! Brilliant work!
Wonderful shot. Aloha

I got called away, and now I'm back. Unfortunately, it's getting late and I'll have to stop once more...but I'll return again in a day or two. While I still wanted to do more padlocks, other flowers, your wonderful angled reflection shots, etc etc, I'll end with this tonight because of yet another creative capture of these regal flowers. The hues of the petals are so nicely harmonized with the hues of the wall---in that early morning light, all aglow in autumnal oranges. The flower flares out where the wood ends, and the shadow presents an almost Japanese feeling in the background, mimicking the flower beautifully. Yes, it's hard when that exquisite early light moves on and you couldn't get all your pics fast enough: Sometimes you want to shout, "can you just sit still for one freaking minute???" Like, "what's the HURRY???" It's a catch-as-one-can art, and you caught it just right. The right-side petals are nicely coordinated with the ridge of the wood porch, too...Formally, hue-wise, and shape-wise, this is beautiful. (Another small but beautiful choice: You got the right-most leaf in perfect harmony with the shadow, leaning to the left as the shadow does.) These flowers really do give you food for your art, you know how to explore them and how they interact with their environment. I'll be back for more soon, but I couldn't have ended with a better send-off.
