Description
There are several big Aloes on the zigzag at Alum Chine Sub Tropical Gardens, and some have suffered damage from mindless vandalism.
This is one such leaf: i think the patterns are fascinating.

What people get out of vandalising plants I will never know...............
what a shame, but its a nice pic.
good shot
Looks like a deer skin.
Most interesting shot! Does not even look like Aloe.
Very interesting!!
Super find!
Well spotted! A truly fascinating abstract, I would never had worked out what it was until I saw that tiny spike on the edge.
Fascinating patterns! (I see faces in the white bits.) Too bad about the vandalism. What on earth are people thinking?
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Interesting closeup. Well done Andrea.
That is so beautiful !!! a wonderful natural abstract excellent !
hehe, this way it looks pretty interesting. some of mine Aloé have a similar look. Cool detail picture Andrea!
The patterns are cool however, what would be cooler is if they could catch the vandals and make them work to help restore that which they have ruined
Superb!
When it comes to bizarre patterns and textures in general, this is fascinating, but when it comes to an aloe leaf, it's an abomination. Fie on the vandals! This stellar capture easily rivals my knot shots.
You do have a great eye for patterns, Andrea; this is lovely!
cool shot, nice structure
WOW! thats beautiful. When I saw this I thought about cow skin :)
Really excellent abstract !
Lovely patterns in both photos. I am afraid that mindless vandalism is not unique to your part of todays world!
Great capture
It makes a great abstract Its a shame they didn't do it to an Agave or something nice and spiky.
Another excellent photographic abstract, in this case you have pulled out a little so it is possible to actually see what it is, it's interesting how the eye's and brain work, I bet if you zoomed in beyond the edges it would be almost impossible to know what it could be beyond an abstract piece.
