great macro!
GOSH! I havent seen such a fly since i was a little girl. (If it is the same we had here, then) I remember sitting on a field not far away from my home in Copenhagen and picking flowers and I often saw thes flies. They were always wagging the wings. First the right, then the left and so on. hmmm... OH excellent shot BTW :)
I have not even encountered this species of fly, thank you for identifying it should I find one.
That is so nice !! the colour of the flower that fills the eye and then the detail on the tiny insect just leads the eye in
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
This is really beautiful!!!!
Looks tiny but great against that vivid blue.
Now then, that is a teensy fly, this one engulfed by the massive blue of the Morning Glory.
Very cool macro Andrea
A fly with a customized paint job! Brilliant image.
do make a lovely design and color
!!! The shadow !!! That's perfect.
Once again your keen eye captures a different variety of insect life; what a lovely capture!
Might it be Thyridanthrax fenestratus the Bee Fly?... I might be wrong there because I cannot see it's body, does it have any white markings on it's body?... either way a great find and capture.
The wings do zoom nicely and are very unique. Lovely color in the Morning Glory!
Great capture
