Description
A bumper harvest this year means that lots of free food is available.
There are lots of recipes for Rowan Jelly preserve but this one looks good

BTW The Rowan or Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia ) is not the same species as the Ash tree (Fraxinus excelsior) which is suffering from Ash Dieback disease, That doesn't have berries but fruits which are called keys.

Nice capture Andrea thanks for the link. I did not know that the one species of Ash was dying out?
Excellent shot and look very tempting!
Looks good!!
Such vibrant red berries, never tried them.. do they taste as good as they look in this fine capture?.
Beautiful picture!!!!!!!!!
Oh my, this is a swell shot, plus an interesting blurb on the clump of berries, Andrea.
I didn't know they were edible, we have tons of them around here. I'd almost be afraid to try! Wonderful shot here!
I didn't know they were edible either. Love the water droplets. Very nice shot!
Look like miniature tomatoes. Wonderful shot. They do look tempting.
Nice looking berries, full and healthy!
A sure sign of Autumn and an excellent image Andrea. Love that colour.
I did not know u could eat these makes for a great image.
Rowan Berries Rowan Atkinson's cousin? Hehe! I never knew also that they were edible and like my honey would be afraid to try them. IT's a shame we have these things like ash die back etc. Not sure if it is insect based, I will have to investigate. But a lot of deforestation is our fault. The poisons we pump into the atmosphere per diem, the fumes from motor ways and the like. I am reminded of the words of a red man years ago which is also what I use as my quote in the forums. "Only when the last tree has been chopped down, when the rivers have been poisioned and the last fish caught, will you realize you cannot eat money"
A super beautiful capture. Love that Danish postbox- color :)))
Superb capture Andrea. Like the saying that Ronnie has posted. God bless.
Marvelous capture !
Very inviting to the birds!!!
beautiful red berries
Fantastic image! :)
I didn't know you could eat these, either! Like Denise, I would be hesitant to try them for fear that ours are somehow different from yours! :P Aak! Beautiful pic, though. That read is wonderful!
beautiful capture !
They are looking very good this year, and thanks for the link.
Lovely color and photo - can I assume that these berries are from the tree is a previous posting!
