Description
Not a far drive is a water driven grist mill, long past grinding flour and meal. It happened to be open when when I stopped by. These gears were moving. The larger gears are wood and some smaller metal drives may be seen. Up close, there is a smell of grease on the gears and throughout the mill the creaking sound of the water wheel and gear works turning is fascinating.
Zoom view is highly recommended at about 1200 x 800 px for more detail.
