A little known slice of history... Mickey had his good years and his not so good years..... After World War Two, when the world was at peace again, and everybody was returning home, parades, celebrations.... Oh yeah, Mickey and his buddies did their part... Goofy landed on the beaches at Normandy, Donald was on Submarine duty in the Pacific, Mickey flew fighter cover over Europe... but when the boys came home.. no parades or ticker tape for these three... they were met at the airport by a car, and driven right back to the studios to continue work... After a few years, the profits from animation trickled off and the boys found themselves with a lot of down time.... Goofy took up golf, playing a lot of charity games.... Donald travelled Europe, working at painting... some of his works were later hung in major galleries.. but Mickey had the performing bug.. He arrived in Vegas with little fanfare but within a few months, he was the talk of the town... the late 60's and early 70's were good for the mouse... he hung out with Dino, and Frank, and Sammy... the only mouse in a pack of rats...had his own show at the Tropicana... singing and dancing, telling stories... ah the good times.. then there was that ground-breaking conversation on Existential Politics that he had with Hef on Playboy After Dark. Sure there were the rumours, the scandals... the tabloids... but once he had that guest role on Who Framed Roger Rabbit... the public took notice again... and animation was back... The 80's saw a revival of The House of Mouse, computer animation, and the rap albums....later on, video games..... Mickey left Vegas...Hollywood embraced him and the boys again... but every now and again, Mickey thinks back to his Vegas years.... a small smile on his face.. thinking about his back-up dancers (seen here.... The Minnies), the shows, the parties, the friends who have passed away...the good times... a wee bit of corruption, an interlude from my fotos... image haunting the back of my mind for a little while... I figured why not... back to the pictures soon, just needed a bit of fun... hope you liked it.

Reminiscing, also known as dusting off the covers or lifting the lid on our sordid pasts ... whatever ... it was also known as the good ol' years ... I should write my memoirs as well, methinks and do a 'kiss & tell' ... ;P fun was had by all, yeah, I should know! LOL ... the only difference would be the locations ... fine writers stuff, Colin you seemed to have found, whatever you looked for ... fun, fun, fun ... may the force be with you ! BB
