Alooooooooha~
I've been wanting to try my luck with night photography, specifically star photography. I went to a trusted teacher, YouTube to get some answers and after many hours of learning gave it a shot.
I found it very easy to get images if you are patient and have time to kill. Actually the hardest part I found in doing this type of shooting is not killing yourself while you stumble around in the dark!!

Great shot of the Milky Way well done, perhaps a red light may be helpful to avoid stumbling over anything and still preserving your night vision, anyway it's a wonderful photo

that is amazing... and utube is a great learning tool. I am going through a Photoshop elements lessons now the person that made the videos starts at the beginning and goes all the way through the program. good luck with your night time photos. I recently did some night shooting of the moon, and I used utube as well to find suggestions and I got some pretty good results.
