Description
One of two random men who were repairing the pavement near my house.
I stopped to admire the superb job they were doing, filling in a tricky gap round a manhole cover.
They were happy to be my men of the day, and this gentleman had a lovely twinkle in his eye!

Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
A super mono and a great portrait.
Fantastic portrait Andrea :)
You will tell them anything to get a pic Andrea :o)
Well done! Super image!
Great capture...
He is welcome to come over here and do ours too! We have holes that seem to hang around for years. The councils are too busy fining dog walkers me thinks!!!
Blimey, a mono portrait reminiscent of those taken during the Great Depression of the late 1920s and early 30s. Love the lighting effects, clarity, tones and textures.
AMAZING PORTAIT! I LOVE THE b/w CHOICE
Wonderful character shot!
really cool close up of this man
I like the original, but this one is so much more ... I don't know ... imposing, maybe. Terrific portrait ... his eyes are wonderful!
Excellent capture; I do prefer the color version!
cool !
Great B&W portrait but your man for the day could do with a shave. It looks better in B&W.
Great portrait
A classy mono shot of a real face full of character, well done!
What a great portrait! He has the face of an explorer, Edmund Hillary and the like. He seems somewhat amused by the situation.
It's quite excellent in mono, and he does have a twinkle!
I liked the twinkle in his eye also. He is already to break out into a full smile. No favorite between these two photos!
a very handsome chap (or bloke) Great capture
