Description
A street in the north of Heidelberg. The pub is named "Zum Löwen" which means "To The Lion". The pub is pretty old, I don't know when it was built.
There is an old story from here. It is said that when the first steam ship sailed on the Neckar River, it honked loudly with his foghorn. The farmers in the fields thought, down by the river would be a lion. Everyone ran, armed with pitchforks, to the river. One can imagine that the whole village laughed about. This is where the name of the pub comes from.
Thanks for viewing.

Xcellent photograph!
Ha ha ...feine Geschichte. Und dein Weg führt also in die Kneipe oder in die kleine Konditorei? Scheint bei dir so ein richtiger schöner alter Stadtkern zu sein, wo noch Jeder Jeden kennt.
Excellent
These are gorgeous old buildings and architecture. I like the story about the lion and the name of the pub. I also like the POV of these building. A super photo!
