Description
Taken with the Canon Powershot SX130IS on an overnight camping trip. This is Superstition Mountain outside of Apache Junction, Arizona. This is the gateway to all of the Lost Dutchman Mine legends and people die in the wilderness just about every year looking for it.

What a beautiful chunk of rock..just want to reach out and hug it!
Thanks. I would like a jet pack to fly up and check it all out.
What a beautiful place! Gorgeous shot.
Tara would love this country! I suspect she's alreadsy been there too.
Great looking landscape Dan. Very impressive!
Impressive landscape, but the way the tip of the mountain just touches the edge of the photo frame detracts from it, IMHO. I would have tilted the camera just slightly upward to get at least a little bit of sky showing above it...
We must set out an expedition immediately! great landscape..
gorgeous landscape!!
Thanks everybody! When I lose enough weight, I am going up over the top by the left edge. In a couple months, I will make another hike on this trail and see if I can get farther than this.
superb landscape. I must make it a point to go there on my next trip to AZ
Oh! Two stony faces look at me!.. Great capture, Dan!! :o)
