sometimes a walk on the beach brings such unexpected surprises. this chunk of driftwood caught my eye; the light and shadow are so perfect; all i had to do was point and shoot!!

Your solo 'portraits' of these natural formations---sometimes two or three formations per pci, but you don't shy away from one---are so strong, and yet so delicate. The light here is beautiful, as is the light cast across the sand. And the contrast of sand texture with the smoother wood texture is all the pic needs for contrast. A simple beautiful piece, and again, reminiscent of Japanese gardens...
