Description
i'm doing insect studies. these where all over my sundflowers mating...I kinda freaked cause they where eating them so I didn't get a photo of them mating, which I know you all would have liked to seen...but I did get this mean looking guy. as you can tell by the photo they where not afraid at all...quite large and very armoured looking. what really stands out to me are those crab like rear legs with spikes on them. he was just looking at me as I snapped the photo like he wanted to jump on me...I've seen some very unusual insects this year but did not have my camera. hopefully i'll see them again when I have the camera...
hope everyone is ok and having a good time...

Fee Fi Fo Fum. I smell the blood of a plant. Or something like that. Neat shot. The cammo is interesting.
intriguing shot, wonderful!!
Great shot and looks like a weevil of some kind.
One tough looking dude!
wait a few more years what with all the crap in the groundwater and you see triple sized mutants.
Wonder if these crab legs are good ? Some say insects are the food of the future
Amazing insects, superb macrocapture!
Excellent macrophoto, the colors are superb, too !
Oh what big arms you have... Nice shot. Aloha

Very cool looking insect. A Leaf footed plant bug? Never seen one before but quite impressive.
Fantastic macro. Love the detail and dof!
