Description
So, I've been working on her outfit, finding a better looking material that translated better when rendering and I believe I have found it.
I also realized I kind of lost my edge when it comes to post work. Not sure if it's because I haven't done it in so long, or a lack of confidence, but my photoshop work is subpar.
My artwork doesn't have that polished finished look.
Does anyone know of any tutorials I can watch to learn some new skills?
Would really love the help, and to learn.
Anyway enjoy my latest piece and as always...COMMENT AS YOU SEE FIT!

Actually, for a cartoon this isn't bad. Not sure if you wanted the heroine's hand right up against the belly of the mechanical beast or if she's tossing it. I find when posing like this I must rely on several camera angles and closeups in order to make certain the models connect in a proper and believable manner. The lighting and shadow works well. If you were going for a dust effect underneath the tank, I find using various types of "cloud" and "smoke" brushes useful for that sort of thing. I use GIMP, not Photoshop, but if there is an option with selection/marquee tools for "feathering," I suggest playing around with it. You can do some marvelous things with that option when it comes to blending. Consider using some "motion blur" on the wheels of the tank as well for added dramatic effect. Hope this helps!
Great job!
