Description

Bear with me, my system crashed again when I had finally gotten my lighting set nicely, and all was lost. Therefore you have a rough render tonight. She had put up with the last minute excuses of "I've got to work late" so many times that she hadn't even bothered to keep count anymore. She always suspected though he used it as a convenient excuse to go out with the guys, even when he didn't come home smelling like alcohol. Tonight was different though, it was the anniversary of them being together for five years, and she had spent hours making a special dinner for him. Usually though, working late for him was only an hour or two, unless it was the come home smelling of the bar "late" nights. As the sun had already set, and the food had been stuffed into the fridge, she finally realized that she had wasted more than enough time hoping for a the life he promised which has yet to even show a glimpse of coming. She decided it was time to go out looking for him to set him straight. She found him on the other side of town with his friends. She had planned to notify him of her presence with a cold beer over his head, but she had been spotted before she could get her hands on one and he met her half way through the bar. He managed to coax her out of the bar to avoid her causing a scene, resulting in his embarrassment, but it wasn't enough to save him from suffering her long overdue wrath. He did his best to plead his case, she merely looked away collecting her thoughts; she'd already heard the excuses and lines he's had to offer. She let him go on though, and when there was nothing left for him to say, she prodded him about the day, and if it had meant anything to him. He couldn't think of a single thing about the date that meant anything to him, and that was about the last time he got to speak for the next half hour as she unloaded all that had been building up for many of those past five years. She started by announcing the significance of the day. Five years since our first date, four years since we moved in together. The second which you have completely forgotten about. You claimed I was the only woman you wanted to spend the rest of your life with, then I find you here with your friends and some tramps. You promised to get a real job so we could start a real life together and you haven't budge one bit. You didn't want me to work so I gave up my career. You didn't like my friends, so I let them go to make you happy. You promised we'd have a house by now so we could get married and start a family, and you would take care of me like a queen. None of these things have you lifted a finger to provide, but I have given up all of me, all of my freedom, and all of myself, the very individual I was to give to you that you wanted. Well, I'm no queen, I surely don't feel like one; but I certainly think I'm the jester, the fool that you have been playing me for. The rundown trailer park jester that you only wanted to keep you fed, in clean clothes, a clean home, and there to please you whenever you felt the need to satisfy yourself. As long as I was fat, dumb, and willing to buy your excuses, why should you ever consider keeping a promise? Five years of my life I invested in what has amounted to a scam. Whether you intended any of what you promised me matters not, because in the morning I'll be gone. He stood there a little dumb founded, and somewhat indifferent. He didn't even think about any of what he said over the years, and of the promises or dreams he had spoken of with her; he had just grown to take her for granted. And as she drove away he just headed back to be with his friends. In the morning she had gone. She left little evidence that she had even lived there, no pictures, no flowers, no woman's touch remained. She didn't even care if he'd notice she left the only piece of jewelry he ever bought her on his pillow. Thank you for bearing with me. Have a good night.

I certainly enjoy your full-figured female characters (admittedly, I have some bias in this regard). She's very sexy...poor guy doesn't know what he's missing.

Agree with Rock69 above. I sincerely hope this is not your story too.

No, not my story; but I think everyone has shades of this in a relationship. There are always times where we can forget the other, or feel they have forgotten something important to us.
