Description
Dicranopalpus ramosus, a Mediterranean species of spider only rarely found in Britain and, my old book says, only in Cornwall, Hampshire Sussex and Essex. Now in Dorset!
The body is about 4 or 5 mm and the legs 50mm.

Good camouflage for this spider, nicely spotted and wonderfully captured. Well done Andrea.
well seen and a good hiding! interesting spider and for me: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii lol
Lord this is a strange one for sure and u got a photo of it looks like he could run a marathon with those legs lol.
very cool
Another new one on me Andrea. Extremely well spotted.
Another foreign invader to disrupt our bio diversity. Oh well I suppose it not being nation wide is a bonus. Nifty shot Andrea.
Crazy find. Very interesting!
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Fantastic creature, Isnt it ? :) Excellent shot and well spotted :)
Not nationwide-yet! LOL! With those legs it doesn't seem there would be much to hold them back if they decided to travel, they must have hitchhiked in on someone coming over the channel. Great find and capture!
Love the wood textures
So well camaflaged too!!!
Cool picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This one is so well camouflaged Andrea and I love the worm trails in the wood!
A long way from home. Another types of 'long legs'.
Nice camo ... like little cracks, and who would ever think danger lurked? Well seen!
He looks so ungainly but can probably move like lightning!
Take a bow for even seeing it! Take another for an excellent capture of a rare and beautifully camouflaged spider!
You don't need glasses it's almost invisible.
Nice shot of an odd botkins, A.
Great capture of this well camouflaged little creature. It made me curious because arthropods has always interest me. It is not a true spider but a close relative, a harvestman, originally from Morrocco but lately moved into Europe. Maybe because of clima change?
