Maybe new to science!! Fantastic shot.
Whatever it is, it looks unique!
Awesome capture!!
Excellent shot, looks like it may be a fruit fly.
Agree about fruit fly.
That's a beauty. I believe it is a bee-fly (in the fly family diptera.). Could be a Tiger Bee fly, just a quick guess. Great shot of it. Nice catch.
I've never seen one of these. Great capture.
impressive macro
FANTASTIC CAPTURE
It's one of those things that bugs you lol!
Oh my goodness what ever it is it looks like it would put a hurting on someone. :(((( Most excellent in both capture and details. :)))) He/she has big eyes. :))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))) Carry A Sunshine Smile In Your Heart :))))
wonderful
Fantastic capture! I don´t know what is it, but I think Richard is right. Funny thing I noticed is that the part of the head that is attached to the thorax seems the mouth of a cat. actually, her head looks like a cat's or a squirrel's head with big black eyes, looking to one. I do not really know what to do with my so crazy imagination! !
Not sure what they are called, but we have them here too and they have a nasty bite. I would say it is a Bee Fly from the Family Bombyliidae but I bever see them like this for very long because I kill them on sight like a horsefly. It is an excellent photo of one though! Congratulations on reaching 1500 uploads!
Cool wings... Nice shot.
Wow, normally I don't like bug shots, but this is fascinating!
Great macro photoshot Brandy.
