Description
The angle on this Peacock shows how it may frighten off predators.
Not a sharp shot, but a revelation to me, as I hadn't really appreciated this fact before.

great foto, well spoted.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
A lovely capture Andrea. Plenty of these about but no red admirals yet!!
It is a very pretty face on it cool capture.
Used to have lots of these in London, nothing now though, as I said before, too much destruction of their habitat by avaricious scum developers. I will always have a passionate disrespectful hatred of these people, I would dearly love to wall them up alive and let them see how it feels :)
Very good capture Impressive colours
Excellent pic.
Sometimes we capture a different moment to what we expect. This has revealed a stronger facial impact for sure. Glad you posted it!
HAHA! The evil butterfly :))) Lovely shot.
It is kind of scary if you look at in a certain way. I think the slight lack of sharpness actually adds to the eeriness of it...
great shot !
But beautiful too!!!
Great capture and shot
Lovely color, detail and composition in this never to be forgotten image.
How lovely they are, scary face and all! Great shot!
Well, would you try and sneak up on someone that was staring at you like that? Super shots, both of them. I live next to a protected marsh and still no butterflies. Perhaps I should try growing some milkweed.
That IS a pretty scary face, isn't it? I've seen pictures of these before, but this is just the right angle to show off the brilliance of the disguise.
Boo ,great shot.
That's a perfect illustration of how effective this is. He has probably scared off many birds already as evidenced by the fact that he has had no strikes thus far!
An excellent capture and what a beauty, such beautiful colours and proving further that nature is the greatest artist of all.
Both versions are excellent shots Andrea and a lovely color combination!
