Description

At times we create art with many layers and often those layers are not always seen, I wanted to first create a piece that offered what appears a regular abstract work but again with a twist, in this case the subject of a square that was translucent and in being so you can see beyond to the next square. I always wanted this piece to feel as if there had been physical contact with the surface and Painter X3 affords me that. Can't wait for the Leap Motion Controller to arrive on the 29th, Painter X3 supports it, an abstract artists dream for total creative freedom, it cannot get better than that at the cutting edge. I use a tablet but this will be real freedom with no physical resistance. If Jackson Pollock was alive today he would love this. See Video about Leap Motion and Painter

Like it. Maybe the square not so centered, but that's just me

I like to break the rules sometimes. To compensate for the squares central focus being the all powering element I added some shape to the right in order to throw it off a little and also if you look into the square you may notice the second square is not central in relation to the main one. The square is undoubtedly the main subject in this piece, I wanted it to almost be forced without choice so you look within it.

though an abstract design, the square points to a building in the background or at least I imagine it
