Hello everyone !
Today's picture is Segesta's Temple.
Segesta is located in the western part of Sicily and is famous for its temple and amphitheatre.
The temple has been built during the 5th century BC in doric style.
It was an interesting building for the archeologists because this temple wasn't finished... The pillars should be fluted and there is no coating : the last steps of a temple's construction.

Segesta est une ville de l'ouest de la Sicile connue pour son temple et son amphithéâtre.
Le temple a été bâti au cinquième siècle avant JC dans un style dorique.
Grace à ce temple non terminé, les archéologistes ont pu déterminer que les dernières étapes de la construction d'un temple sont de canneler les piliers et de couvrir avec un enduit de finition.
