Description

Zam's Prehistoric World Narrative: Zam stands on the rocks above a frozen river. The Shadow Zam doesn't visit anymore. The world he is in has frozen over. "Why haven't you come and got me yet, brother?" Zam asked the frozen land. The Commander returned to find Zan had donned his brother's fur and gear. Zan was the picture of a prehistoric tribesman. The Commander looked at the red soaked cloth wrapped around the boy's hand. Commander Reox had enough Demon personell assigned aboard his ship to know what that meant. The boy had sworn a vengence oath. "I see you have made your decision not to accept asylum." the Commander stated. Zan was silent. His eyes flaming red and set hard against any reason the Commander might present. The Commander walked to the table and picked up the transmitter that Zan had tossed down. He picked it up and held it out to the boy. "Do not be foolish, making alliances is the corner stone of Deamonia existance." Commander Reox explained. Zan took the transmitter hanging from the necklace, "Then you won't try to stop me? You are my ally?" asked Zan. Zan understood far more about Deamonia existance then anyone could ever know. He had been the only Demon living on the Terra outpost. He had been so lonely for his own kind and had read every history book about Demonia he could find, as well as all the classic tales of the great Demon warriors. "The time will come when you will need an ally. The ship engines are to be refitted and I will be on the planet for the next six months. That is a coded transmitter that will transmit only to me.." said the Commander. Zan took the necklace and tried to put it on. The necklace kept getting caught on Zan's horns and he was getting frustrated. The Commander stepped forward and helped Zan, smiling slightly, he knew this was the reason demons almost never wore necklaces. The Commander placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "You have not asked why I am helping you." the Commander said kindly to the little demon. Zan remained silent. He knew the Commander would tell him no matter what he said. "All ships, and the commissions of their Captains, in the fleet are owned by the various lords and ladies of the great houses according to the wealth of their house." the Commander explained. The Commander pressed a button on the wall and a crash seat folded out. The Commander motioned for Zan to sit and then buckled him in. The Commander then walked to the door. "This ship is owned by Lord Fox." the Commander smiled. "We will be making a hard landing soon. It's rather tricky to make a planet landing and get a ship of this size into the docking cradle, hang on." The Commander left Zan sitting there with his mouth hanging open. 'Father owns a battleship?' Zan was shocked to discover. What else don't I know about my family?' Zan wondered.

Ah yes ... there are so many things children don't know about their parents. Not secrets, precisely, but things that just don't get discussed over the dinner table. I love the way your twisty mind works! (Take that as a compliment.) :P

Your characters are truly alive now, are they not? Like real children, they will always be with you. I know because I woke this morning and actually wondered how Zam was recovering! True magnificent magic!!! Oh and the beautiful artwork, masterful!

I really like what you've done with this! The textures are superb, and on one hand I feel "chaos" from here, but on the other, such extreme peace! A marvelous expression and story-line!
