Love the title :D Nice of it to hold still so you could take a picture.
A wonder you got this close!!
Brilliant Andrea, yes that was the only easy part of the coastal path walk in yesterday's upload
Indeed a great title and an impressive shot, I was always fascinated by these as a kid because you would see them in their masses often on nettle and catnip, around the same time some people wondered why the cats were all lazing around whilst foaming from the mouth on sunny days. The Greenbottle's shine in the sun like green mirrors. Great capture
Nice shot :)
I have seen some of those fly's around here they are so pretty in the sunlight great shot girl.
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Good shot and a perfect title.
FLY 1! You are cleared for take-off on Runway 2 South! Great capture Andrea
:o) :o) excellent!!!
:-) Very cool catch.
Wow, that is one hell of a helipad -- which looks artificial -- that the Greenbottle fly is set to take off from. A handsome bloke for its species, if I say so myself. Sterling focus in this, and a nice digifiddle job blurring the background.
GREAT SHOT
Helipad? Andrea are you looking through the wrong end of the binoculars again!
Andrew made me laugh - a fantastic macro profile portrait. Do Zoom!
LOL! "Does this colour suit me?" Very well captured, Andrea!
Looks like he's perfectly poised in the center ... a textbook takeoff! :)
Superb, these are not easy as Jeff points out, they tend to be totally uncooperative. Nice one my dear!
really nice capture.
Great sense of humour :)
Amazing capture and detail. I imagine you caught it before it had finished it's pre-flight check.
A very nice shot!
Very nice green on greens
I knew those things were good for something.
