Description
This was also captured at Thornybush Game Reserve at the end of May when I visited. The Cape Buffalo is one of Africa's famous Big Five. Here they drive you right into the middle of the herd and you can literally touch these fellows as the walk right past. The vehicle here were actually folks that were in the same lodge as us.
Thank you for visiting and for your much appreciated comments and favs on my last upload "Lunch - on the horizon."

A lovely photo Carin and with horns like that you should be able to hear them coming!!!
very exciting safari. I would tend to be nervous with so many large animals with horns
This is a great shot! I've always been so fascinated by the horns and the way they look that I never noticed how knock-kneed they are. Terrific picture!
Wonderful light! Those knock knees are so unlikely in a creature that can run so fast!
Spectacular image! Great capture! :)
Wow how amazing to actually be able to touch the buffalo, how lucky you are to experience such an adventure, so thank you for sharing this with us. hugs Jane xx
Wow, that is definitely in the middle of the herd. What a grand time you must have had - such a great shot.
Great capture of the buffalo herd, as they glare at you, apparently interested in your intentions, Carin. And it would be overly nice if you returned to comment on my postings, just like in the old days.
Wonderful capture it is a tossup as to whether I'd walk through a herd of Angry Cape Buffalo or a pride of starving lions
It must be amazing to be so close to them!!
Lol ,knowing what they can do to Lions with those horns I will just look and not touch. Amazing capture Carin.God bless.
Nice shot! And wow, those are serious horns and they know how to use them!
How cool that must be! These guys always look so pugnacious, makes me wonder if they really are or if they're more placid than that. Excellent capture!!!
AMAZING SHOT
Wow, that is amazing, what an experience. xx
Always the safest place to be.. Nice shot once more! Rob
Do people hunt these? Looks like one some friends of ours got with their bow and arrow while on a hunting trip to SA last year. (btw, u look gorgeous. Love your new avatar) <3

A very daring group to be in the middle of this herd. It does make for an exception souvenir!
