Description
Several years ago, I was the House Photographer at the old Waldo Astoria Dinner Theatre in Kansas City. One of the longest-running plays to ever appear there was Dan Goggin's original "Nunsense," a musical comedy which has won worldwide acclaim.

I had a chance to work with and photograph some of the local cast members.
This is "Sister Mary Amnesia" who lost her memory after a crucifix fell on her head. Her puppet companion is "Sister Mary Annette." LOL- Always loved that name...
The Waldo Astoria and Tiffany's Attic playhouses were closed years ago, and replaced by the "New Theatre Dinner Playhouse" which is still going strong.
I'm still alive, and slowly working my way back - although it's taking me longer to get out of this blue funk than expected. Mostly it's due to this crappy shift I'm on, but I only have a little over a week; then I'll go on mid-shift.
I know my commenting is still kind of spotty, but I'm working to get caught up - I'll get there, eventually.
I'm also working on the next page in the T.N.A. story, and hope to post it soon.

Wow Rod, I know of the theatre but had no idea you used to be the house photographer there. I'm going to check out the link you provided. I myself have been going to the New Theatre just off of Metcalfe for many years now.

very nice. I saw that play at a dinner theater here in Southern California, it was very funny. Your photo brings back good memories for me, mostly of the people I was with that day :)

one time I was down and out so I went and got one john candy movie and watched it over and over the whole week end. The first few times i watch it I did not even smile then I crack a smile and soon I was laughing and soon I was laughing though out the movie. Try it .

changing shifts is hard. I know from at one time working every other 8 hours.I did not know if I should sleep,eat, or **&&^&^%%%$#%%# so I tried all three very funny comedy I bet
