Description
I enjoy mixing colour with a nice embossed/impasto style and when the composition suits this technique I will usually go for it instinctively. I hope I managed to get the balance right in this piece.. it's a while back now but I do remember many of my back catalogue pieces vividly and the techniques used.

Interesting composition and abstract
Kind of colored Soulages
Soulages is an interesting artist who tends to work in black on white canvas, I can see the link with the embossment/impasto work, he should work more in colour as he tends to place colour behind his black to give the illusion of depth and I would see much of his work not unlike Franz Kline who created massive canvases of black on white too. Soulages must spend a fortune on paint to get the kind of textures he creates in his work.
