Description
I am still in Tornybush Game Reserve! This was a very special sighting for us - cheetahs. It was two brothers living together. I specially uploaded this image to show you the vehicles we are in when on game drives (some folks thought it was closed vehicles) and also to show you how close we get to the animals. They do not allow more than one vehicle per sighting and we had to wait for this dude to take his pictures before we could move closer. I hope you do see the cheetah lying in the grass! LOL...
Thank you for visiting and for your much appreciated comments and favs on my previous upload "Walking with a Purpose".
Carin xx
A big thank you too for all of my wonderful friends who dedicated images to me yesterday for my birthday. I appreciate every single one of them!

Really impressive!!
thanks for posting this. I would be nervous in that open vehicle as it would take nothing for the cat to jump up there, but I still would be taking pictures
I hear you Richard! The animals are fairly used to the vehicles, hence the fact that they can get so close. As long as you remain seated and make no sudden movements, they see the vehicle and occupants as one unit and the chances of them attacking is quite slim - especially the cats. Elephants, Rhino and Buffalo could be a different story. You do sign a serious waiver though before they take you out!
An impressive photo. I would not have a good feeling in this situation, but sometimes you have to risk something for a good shot.
Great shot and so interesting to see the vehicle. It makes sense that the cat sees the size of the vehicle as a whole and leaves it alone. How thrilling to get so close to these beautiful animals.
WOW! I too thought you used CLOSED vehicles. THis is scary LOL!
Excellent capture!
How very exciting!
WOW this guy is so lucky big cats can't climb things that are over 2 feet high!! COUGH COUGH WINK WINK!
Very cool capture
Superb capture Carin. God bless.
My favorite big cat.
The cheetas at the zoo intimidated me ... and they were much further away from me than this ... lol. Their gaze is heart stopping.
Another superb pic. Happy belated Birthday Carin. xxx
Very interesting narrative and shot of photographer versus cat in this cool photo, Carin. Does anyone ever cheat with two vehicles at at time when capturing cheetahs? Oh, and Happy Birthday!
I'd go in a heartbeat! Open vehicle means no bars, no glass to interfere with your shots; how wonderful to be so close to the wild creatures!
So close!! Oh boy, would I love to be sitting where he's sitting. Nice!!
I'm not sure I would take that risk, there is often a good reason for waivers, LOL!
They are really very beautiful cats.. So lucky! Rob
Great capture! :)
I'm so very jealous of your animals and happy birthday Carin :)
OMG!!! I thought that you would be inside a cage. I hope that someone had a gun. A great shot Carin! WOW!
