Trilly, one of my friend's (same one whose garden was featured in yesterday's post) 7 or 8 or 9? cats - I can't keep track of how many she has. We kid her about being a crazy cat lady, but she is not at all crazy - just an animal lover who can't say no when a cat shows up at her door. Trilly is a very handsome & friendly cat, shown here just hanging out on the deck on a sunny day...

There is such a fine definition between the cats fur and the dark backrground. The kitty herself at first I thought this was a digital that had then been painted. You handled the high contrast of this scene very well.

I love dogs and have nothing bad to say about them, but ultimately, I'm a cat person, and this shot captures cat-ness for me, especially since I recognize both this pose and the facial expression. This is a content, relaxed kitty! I love the play of light in this shot as well, and the colors are quite nice too.
Love the light ... it brings out a nice warm afternoon sort of mood.
